Hey readers! My name is Alana Randall and I’m so happy to be apart of this fabulous blogging experience!

My blogs will focus on the struggles of this industry and my advice on how you can rise above that as a performer. Before we get into that, let me tell you a little bit about who I am and how I got to where I am now.

I was born a native Torontonian and started to dance on my tip toes at the early age of 3. Through my childhood I continued to dance, which led me to eventually dance competitively all over Canada and the US. Boot Camp to Battements

I got involved in the arts, dance specifically, in a backdoor way.

I was expected to follow in my father’s footsteps and have a career in the military. In university, I was a military cadet training to become an officer, while majoring in Psychology. I was also an avid tennis player. One day, a friend of mine convinced me to take a contemporary dance class as a way to help my game and improve my flexibility, agility and spatial awareness. Introducing Kyle Golemba

Hey! I’m Kyle Golemba and I’m excited to be a blogger for Show Choir Canada.

So, where to start?

To give you a quick history, I started acting in 1992 as a Mexican Jumping Bean in a production of Jack and the Beanstalk. Humble beginnings, perhaps, but everyone’s gotta start somewhere. I did drama all my life and eventually went to Sheridan College in Oakville, ON to pursue my dream of acting in musicals. After three years there, I moved to Toronto and was let out into the wild world of auditioning. Continue reading »
